From founding a student-focused science initiative in middle school to working in California, partnering in an algorithmic trading firm, and building successful businesses in India, he has spent his career navigating unconventional paths. For years, Lakshya has mentored students, friends, and families on education, university admissions, career choices, and life decisions. Sanjiv Kaura
Mentor
A graduate of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and the Harvard Kennedy School, Sanjiv Kaura brings over three decades of leadership, public service, and mentorship experience to Guide & Mentor. Having led multinational businesses as CEO of ICI Africa and currently serving as CEO of The Times of India’s CSR division, his career has been defined by building organizations, developing people, and creating meaningful impact. Beyond the corporate world, he has championed social causes, including cycling from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to promote the Right to Education movement, and joined the Territorial Army at the age of 42, reflecting his lifelong commitment to service and personal growth. Over the years, Sanjiv has mentored countless students and professionals, helping them secure admission to leading global universities, including Ivy League and Oxbridge institutions, and guiding individuals toward successful and fulfilling careers. At Guide & Mentor, he helps students think beyond admissions and focus on building lives of purpose, impact, and excellence.
